Mission

• Entrepreneurship network is a community of stakeholders interested in entrepreneurship and ways to promote it in a polytechnic environment.
• It improves the facilities of polytechnics to train students with a keen interest in entrepreneurship and thus boost profitable business activity.
• In addition to providing a forum for an exchange of experiences, a search for information and developing versatile models of entrepreneurship promotion, models of operation and tools for polytechnics to use, it operates on a national level promoting business activities in polytechnic environments.
• Network highly appreciates commitment, openness, honesty, new innovations together with a tolerance for difference as well as practicality.

Vision 2010

• Polytechnic entrepreneurship network is a well-known and recognized brainstorming community whose energy and expertise are directed toward promoting entrepreneurship.
• Network supports entrepreneurship promotion in polytechnics in compliance with development plan of the Finnish Government on education and polytechnic research activities for the years 2004 – 2008 as well as the entrepreneurship strategy of the Rectors’ Conference of Finnish Polytechnics ARENE.
• Successfully completed activities result in
  • Each polytechnic having an entrepreneurial path integrated in their operations as stated in their strategy,
  • Conventional learning concepts having taken on a new form that promotes entrepreneurship,
  • R&D activities having been incorporated in entrepreneurship promotion in a number of ways,
  • The polytechnic community having a positive attitude towards entrepreneurship,
  • New entrepreneurship promotion network having been established.
